I am pleased to welcome you to the new and improved official International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 363 website.

The IBEW is comprised of eleven districts throughout the United States and Canada. Local 363 is part of the Third District which encompasses Delaware, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Within the Third District there are approximately 130,000 members making our district one of the largest in the IBEW. We work hard to keep our union as a viable entity, not just as skilled craftsman, but as unionists, to be dynamic and compliant in our industry.

Our Local Union # 363 was chartered by eighteen electricians back in 1925. Today our union represents approximately 2,500 members in numerous branches of our industry and various other workplaces. Local 363 is one of the more than 750 local unions that make up the IBEW. The IBEW represents approximately 750,000 members who work in a wide variety of fields, including utilities, construction, telecommunications, broadcasting, manufacturing, railroads and government.

The IBEW has members in both the United States and Canada, and stands out among the American unions in the AFL-CIO because it is among the largest and most active and has members in so many skilled occupations. We work hard to help out communities in need, and we care about our jobs and our customers.

I would like to invite and welcome members of the public to learn more about our union. We care greatly about the communities in which we live and work and are always willing to help our neighbors in need. We generously give back to our community each year by donating labor and financial support to worthy and needy causes. Local 363 is currently actively involved with Habitat for Humanity, many little leagues and youth programs and numerous other non-profit organizations where we provide labor and materials through our much heralded community service program.

I hope that the membership of Local 363 finds this website useful and informative. We built this site with our members in mind. Our goal in developing this new site was to provide our members and our retirees with an avenue to find information quickly and efficiently. We also hope that you will frequently check back to this site for updates and requests for membership assistance in regard to issues that affect our lives as workers and union members. We look forward to constantly improving the site to achieve those goals.

If you are a non-union employee and you are looking for information on how to organize your workplace for better rights and working conditions, please feel free to visit our Join Local 363 page. We encourage others in the electrical field and in the workplace in general to become part of our great union. Feel free to contact us to find out how the IBEW Local 363 can help you advance in your workplace and career.

Thank you,

John Maraia, Business Manager IBEW Local 363
